The Adventure begins when Swiss Travel personnel picks you up from you Hotel’s lobby. We drive up about an hour and ten minutes to small town called Filadephia, passing through wide fields of Sugar Cane and different crops depending on their season, experiencing Guanacaste’s way life. We reach Hacienda el Viejo, a 147 year old wooden house full of history and decorated with beautiful mountain ranges will welcome you with fresh fruits and coffee. Re-live the Colonial Costa Rica by cooking delicious Costa Rican treats in an authentic clay oven. After we will continue a 15 minute drive into the Forrest, we reach Tempisque River. We hop on the bus and start the journey on the river through the Palo Verde National Park, a Natural Sanctuary for different species birds and animals, and it will not be long to find one of the most magnificent animal that can grow up to six meters and live for 60 years, The crocodile who awaits patiently for a chance to feed on the banks of the river, or taking temperature to digest. The white-faced monkeys are quick to appear, and you will hear the howl of the howler monkey that give out their location, different birds join the sky and in special occasion a macaw may appear, or a heron tiger camouflaged among the herbs looking for food. You will feel like a photographer from a wild life documentary. After this unforgettable journey, we will return to land and take the vehicle back to Hacienda El Viejo for a typical Costa Rican lunch and then return to the Hotel.
